DRIVER

POWERFUL DRAW CLUB HEAD

The common definition of the center of gravity distance has traditionally been, “the distance between the center of gravity location on the face (position of the sweet spot) and the shaft axis.”

However, the actual location of the center of gravity exists in the three-dimensional space of the head.  Thus, the real center of gravity distance originates from the center of gravity location inside the head.

The distance must be that between the shaft axis and this true center gravity.  Maruman calls this actual COG distance “the true center of gravity,”  and conducts evaluations with the swing feel, club head behavior and optimized ball contact as indicators.

In contrast, COG depth is traditionally defined as “the distance between the location of the center of gravity on the sole surface and the leading edge.”

Center of gravity depth is an indicator with a great impact on the launch angle. The extent of the depth of the position of the center of gravity from the shaft axis is crucial.

Maruman calls this actual center of gravity depth the “true center of gravity depth,” and conducts evaluations by primarily using club head behavior and the ease of the ball rising as indicators.

Maruman introduced this true center of gravity and shaft axis relationship to the COG design in 2008.  From there, optimum COG design has been carried out based on accumulated data.

Center of gravity distance and center of gravity depth.

Optimal trajectory sought by target golfers is made possible through changes to the ratio of these two indicators.

Maruman Gold has realized a strong trajectory that will not allow the wind to beat adventure golfers.

CLUB HEAD MATERIALS AND STRUCTURE

EXHILARATING SOUND DESIGN (HIGH FREQUENCY SOUND TECHNOLOGY)

A continuous uneven sole form is a rounded sole formed from one continuously drawn curve.

Wide power ribs set inside the sole of the club head produce an exhilarating high-frequency sound every stroke.
